VIRGINIA WOOLF
Virginia Woolf, an accomplished author, essayist,
and critic, was one of the 20th century’s most
revered modernist literary figures. She also was
the subject of countless cultural references
including the popular film The Hours. Throughout
her life she struggled with what is now considered
bipolar disorder, enduring multiple suicide
attempts and psychiatric hospitalizations.
