After trying several different approaches over the years, Wilson has found balance using a mild combination of antidepressants, which enable him to record and tour again. In his memoir, Wouldnt It Be NiceMy Own Story, he talks about his lost years with mental illness. In February 2004, Wilson released his SMILE album to wide critical acclaim, hitting #13 on the Billboard chart.
